Clean Up Clydesdale
Tackling fly-tipping and litter in rural areas
Littering and fly tipping is frequently identified as an issue facing communities across the country. Lanarkshire is no exception to this and will require substantial effort to tackle the challenge.
Community consultation is now underway for a project aimed at cleaning up the Clydesdale area. Taking a multi-faceted approach the project will involve cleaning up fly-tipping and littering as well as educating people on the benefits of living in a clean village.
We hope to be lodging funding applications early 2019 to fund phase 1 of the project, and in the future we hope to look at the opportunity for a civic amenity site in the rural area
